Carleton College Summer Mathematics Program for Women

Recomendation Form
The student is applying to enter a summer mathematics program at Carleton College designed to prepare and encourage talented women undergraduates to continue the study of mathematics or a mathematical science in graduate school. This is a very intense program which will expose students to a variety of mathematical ideas, hone their skills in mathematics, connect them into a network of female mathematicians, and, we hope, excite them on to further study in mathematics. The successful applicant will be hard-working, self-motivated, and both talented in, and enthusiastic about, mathematics.

Please indicate when and in what capacity you have worked with the student, and compare her to other students who have gone on to graduiate school in the mathematical sciences. Please give us your candid opinion of her ability to work well with others, desire to participate fully in an intense program in mathematics, and potential for success in our program.
